Catarina has graduated in Law at the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP), with a Postgraduate in Electoral Law from the same University. She also graduated in Business Administration from Unisul Business School (UBS), with an exchange program at the College of Charleston. Currently, she is pursuing a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law at the University of Santa Cecília. Catarina has worked in Electoral Law and Public Relations for twelve years and her practice in Law is focused on Criminal Litigation in higher courts. She has written several articles published on the topic, in prestigious journals and newspapers in Brazil.


Sofia graduated cum laude in International Relations and Economics at IBMEC/RJ and in Law at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). After graduation, she pursued her MSc in Finance at COPPEAD/UFRJ, as well as a postgraduate specialization in Competition and Economic Law at FGV. After spending three years at the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE), where she served as a General-Coordinator, responsible for analyzing mergers and monopolization cases in service sectors, mainly focused on Health, Education, Retail, and Financial sectors, Sofia completed a Clerkship with one of the 11 justices at the Brazilian Supreme Court, focusing on the Economic Analysis of Law and the so-called “concentrated” constitutional remedies in Brazil. Currently, Sofia is completing her Ph.D. studies in Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo, with a Fulbright Scholarship to serve as a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University. She also has a LLM in International Business and Economic Law with a concentration in International Arbitration from Georgetown University. Sofia’s practice is focused on Constitutional, Competition and Regulatory, Corporate Law, and Arbitration. Having written many articles at prestigious legal journals in Brazil, Sofia has recently published a landmark book in Antitrust Arbitration, at Revista dos Tribunais. Currently, besides being a partner at her Law Firm, she also serves as short-term consultant at the World Bank Group.
Rodrigo has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Brasília (UnB) and is currently a candidate for a Master’s degree in Civil Procedure at the University of São Paulo (USP). Also, he is persuing a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law at the University of Santa Cecília. He is the author of articles and book chapters in the fields of Civil Procedure, Constitutional, Tax and Labor Law. He has served as a public service intern for multiple organizations of the Brazilian Government, such as the Ministry of Human Rights, and the Brazilian Supreme Court. Rodrigo is a Founding Member of the Academic League of Civil Procedure at UnB (Laproc) and also a Member of the Brazilian Association of Procedural Law Students (ABEDP) and the Brasiliense Association of Procedural Law (ABPC). In 2022, he was the national champion of Brazilian Process Competition (CBP) and he has also taken part at the 2022 International Negotiation Competition (INC), ranked among the seven best teams in the world. He is a member of the Constitutional and Civil Procedure Law committee from the Brazilian Bar Association at the Federal District (OAB/DF). He currently serves as a Legal Consultant at our office, where he’s specifically involved in cases involving strategic litigation in higher courts.

Carolina started her undergraduate studies in Business Management, and eventually changed to Law, having graduated in Brazilian Law at UNESA/RJ, with a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from CERS and in International Law from CEDIN. After her graduation, she worked as a tax lawyer at Monteiro e Monteiro Advogados Associados for four years, after which she began her postgraduate internship at the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE), where her work was mainly focused on mergers and abuse of dominance cases at service markets. Carolina works as the General Controller in our office and her practice in Law is focused on International Criminal Litigation and Tax, more specifically working with extradition cases and other public law cases against the Brazilian state. She has written several articles published on the topic, in prestigious journals and newspapers in Brazil. Currently, she is a member of the Young Lawyers committee from the Brazilian Bar Association at Rio de Janeiro (OAB/RJ).
Carolina da Fonte has graduated cum laude in Law at the University of Pernambuco (UPE), becoming a lawyer right after she finished her college studies. During her Law Degree, Carolina took part on multiple research projects focused on issues related to gender, presenting her work at multiple conferences in Brazil. She also took part at the PEMUN (Pernambuco Model United Nations) project, simulating and also coordinating mock UN committees, aiming to prepare college students on issues related to Diplomacy and International Relations. In that opportunity, she had been awarded due to her participation as a Representative in an Inter-American Court of Human Rights mock trial. Professionally, she served as a paralegal at the Brazilian Public Defender's Office in the state of Pernambuco/Brazil, being responsible for assisting the Brazilian Public Defenders in collective matters related to housing and other fundamental rights set out in the Brazilian Constitution. She also served as a public service intern at the Court of Justice of Pernambuco. Currently, Carolina is pursuing a Master’s degree in Law at the Federal University of Pernambuco, working with matters related to Justice and Human Rights in Latin America. Besides that, she was also assigned to a teaching intership program at the Criminal Procedure Law course of the same institution. Carolina’s practice is mainly focused on Criminal Law, White-Collar Crimes and Compliance.


Luiza has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). She was one of the 20 students chosen from all over the country to participate at the 42nd Edition of the Exchange Program organized by the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (PinCade), in which she was highlighted for writing the academic article with the best evaluation among those submitted as a final assignment at this program. She also won a Scholarship from the Extension Program at the Federal University of Ceará in 2022, the year in which she was honored with the UFC Science and Society 2022 Award in recognition of the extracurricular activities she led during the academic year while serving as the president of her university’s Arbitration League (LiArb UFC) between June 2021 and August 2022. During that time, she was responsible for leading the team in multiple activities and events, such as the 1st Arbitration and Mediation Meeting at the Federal University of Ceará, which took place in August 2022, she also participated as a speaker and researcher, representing UFC in the 29th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot; the XI Brazilian Business Arbitration and Mediation Competition – CAMARB; and the III Agribusiness Arbitration Competition – CAMAGRO. As her team went to CAMAGRO’s semi-finals, she was then chosen to serve as a coach for the UFC team at the IV CAMAGRO where her team was able to reach the quarterfinals, and at the XIII CAMARB, in which her team reached the semi-finals. She’s already approved to be qualified as a Lawyer in Brazil and is currently finishing her final semester in Law School. Her practices are focused on Corporate Strategic Litigation, Antitrust, and Arbitration.
Amanda is a Law student at the University Center of Brasília (CEUB). She is a member of the research group "Environmental Law and Sustainable Development" and a teaching assistant of Constitutional Law at CEUB. She took part of the research group "Women Occupying Spaces of Power - female bodies in the democratic struggle for effective social participation" and was a teaching assistant of History of Rights. In 2022, she was awarded for writing the article "History of rights of non-human animals and protective legislations". Nowadays, she is a funded researcher by FAPDF in the Scientific Initiation Program at CEUB (2023/2024) and has another project to be developed (2024/2025). She is an Articles Editor at the Journal of Alumni and Academics of CEUB (READ) and has concluded an internship at the Superior Labor Court (TST). Labor law is her mean area of expertise.


Laiza is a Law student at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). She is a member of UFPE’s Academic League of Economic Law and the research group called “Contemporary Theory of Procedural Law,” which is led by Professor Leonardo Carneiro da Cunha. In 2023, she served as a teaching assistant of Constitutional Law and took part at the PEMUN (Pernambuco Model United Nations) project, in the mock trial of “The Central Park Jogger” case. She also researched “Ensuring Impartiality in Apparent Partiality: The Judge’s Conduct in Cases of Sentence Annulment and the Need for Reassessment", under Professor Leonardo Carneiro da Cunha’s supervision. Currently, she is a CNPq-funded researcher on the topic “The Legal Nature of Court Costs and Their Procedural Repercussions,” also under his supervision. Additionally, she is a member of the UFPE team that won the 4th National Training for the Civil Procedural Law Competition, organized by ABEDP, and is participating in the 7th Brazilian Procedural Law Competition. Her main area of expertise is procedural law.
